Product Overview
Ultraviolet filtration is a widely recognised and proven method of water disinfection. It is a physical treatment that does not alter water chemistry and adds no colour, odour, taste or flavour, nor does it generate harmful by-products.
UV light deactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens, destroying their ability to multiply and cause disease. It damages the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between adjacent bases in the DNA, preventing reproduction.
UV systems are installed as a final disinfection step after filtration and pre-treatment.
